Barry Padarath, Minister of Public Utilities, and Dr Micheal Dowlath, Minister of Education, led a meeting on Wednesday at the Ministry of Public Utilities’ head office in St. Clair to discuss the Government’s upcoming laptop distribution programme, set to launch in the new school term beginning September 2025.
Clyde Elder, Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities, and Edilah Elahie, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited (MTS), also attended, along with members of the MTS management team.
The meeting focused on the collaboration required between the Ministry of Education, MTS, and the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) to support the successful rollout of the laptop distribution programme.
