IN a ruling concerning the estate of senior counsel Frank Solomon, the High Court has sided with his two children, ordering their stepmother, Marguerita Necola Solomon, to divide more than $30 million from a disputed bank account and removing her as the executrix and trustee of his estate.
The judgment, which was delivered earlier this month, centres on a challenge brought by Daniel Patrick Solomon and Ingrid Patricia Solomon over last-minute financial transactions made by Solomon’s wife while he was gravely ill.
At the heart of the legal battle was the “Abercrombie Fund”, a substantial account at First Citizens bank.
