LATTIMORE’S LEGACY

Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) President Michael Ricketts has paid tribute to former national player, coach, and administrator Keith Lattimore, describing him as someone who remained deeply committed to football even in his later years.

Lattimore, who died at age 75 on Saturday, was a national player in the 1970s and went on to make significant contributions to the sport at the club and national levels.

“It’s always sad when you hear of the passing of a sports icon. I remember Lattimore well; in fact, the last time I saw him it was in the Spanish Town area, and we had a brief conversation and he told me that he’s trying to resuscitate a football club in a community where he lives, and even though he was getting on in years he still had the love, the passion, and the commitment to ensuring that young men get an opportunity to play football,” said Ricketts.
