A San Fer­nan­do man has been slapped with six months in prison for bit­ing off a piece of a se­cu­ri­ty of­fi­cer’s fin­ger dur­ing a scuf­fle last week.

David Seon, 40, plead­ed guilty and apol­o­gised for his ac­tions when he ap­peared yes­ter­day be­fore High Court Mas­ter Deli­cia Bethele­my.

Pros­e­cu­tor Rea­gan Ra­manan told the court that on Sep­tem­ber 23, the se­cu­ri­ty of­fi­cer was on du­ty at the Unipet Quick Shoppe, at Cross Cross­ing, San Fer­nan­do, when he saw the ac­cused plac­ing items in his pants pock­et.
