The Barbados Community College (BCC) is scheduled to meet with the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) on Monday to discuss staffing concerns raised by the union, the institution has said.
In a statement, the BCC said the NUPW had been invited to engage constructively on the issues after the college received a letter outlining the union’s position. The meeting is set for 10 a.m. at the Eyrie Campus.
The union has declared a labour dispute at the BCC over the college’s decision to break the service of several employees on extended letters of employment. The NUPW is demanding that those workers be reinstated. (PR)
