An ex-soldier is facing criminal charges after more than 130 rounds of ammunition, some of them for high-powered rifles, were allegedly found at his St Catherine home during a law enforcement operation on Saturday.
Cleaven Green, a former Warrant Officer in the Jamaica Defence Force, has been charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition and stockpiling of ammunition, the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) disclosed yesterday.
The bullets seized include 112 nine-millimetre rounds and twenty-two 5.56 rounds used mainly in assault rifles, according to a statement from Director of Communications at MOCA Major Basil Jarrett.
