Alexandra School has been closed today because of flooding, while all other schools across Barbados remain open.
The Ministry of Education Transformation said the decision was made to protect students and staff after flooding affected the school.
Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw consulted with Director of the Barbados Meteorological Services Sabu Best before determining that the wider weather conditions did not warrant school closures across the country.
