Joshua DaSilva and Amir Jangoo have been recalled to the West Indies Test squad ahead of the opening match of the two-Test series against Sri Lanka, which begins next Thursday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. DaSilva and Jangoo are among several changes to the squad, which also sees the return of fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph from injury. The bowlers last featured in a Test squad during the home series against Australia in 2025.
Wicketkeeper-batter DaSilva earned his recall after amassing 996 runs across the last two seasons of the West Indies Championship, while Jangoo earned his way back into contention with a stellar regional campaign. The left-hander finished second among the leading run-scorers in this year’s championship and registered a double century. It marks his first Test squad selection since January 2025.
Roston Chase will continue as captain.
