An anti-crime operation conducted Tuesday in the Scarborough Police Station District has resulted in the seizure of more than 100 cannabis plants and the arrest of one suspect.
According to a police media release, the intelligence-driven operation, conducted between 10.35 a.m. and 1 p.m., was strategically led by W/ASP (Ag.) Williams, Inspector Bacchus, and W/Ag Sgt Gordon-Harris, and was supervised by W/Cpl Alfred. Officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force North were supported by Sgt. Hernandez and a team from the Moriah Police Station, as well as Cpl. Guy and officers from TDTF West.
During the course of the operation, officers discovered and seized 104 growing cannabis trees. A 40-year-old unemployed female of Sargeant Cain, Scarborough was arrested in connection with the illegal cultivation.
