Behind the façade of “successful” businessman Danny Guerra lay a network of powerful connections, including ties to police officers and influential figures such as politicians. According to people in the know, this network insulated him from scrutiny and stifled investigations before they could take root.
At the time of his murder on March 13, Guerra, 50, had never been convicted of any crime, though rumours of his involvement in illicit activities were rampant. Outstanding charges against him linked to alleged illegal quarrying are now buried with him.
