Gun­men shot a 21-year-old taxi dri­ver in Diego Mar­tin ear­ly Sat­ur­day morn­ing, caus­ing him to crash his car while try­ing to es­cape.

Po­lice said the man had just dropped off a pas­sen­ger on Sea Trace, Bagatelle, around 1.45 am when he no­ticed a light shin­ing on him and heard gun­shots.

He lost con­trol of the white Suzu­ki Ciaz he was dri­ving and crashed in­to a parked Nis­san B14 and a gal­vanised fence.
