KINGSTON, Jamaica—The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) High Command is expressing condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of police Constable Chadrick Cooke, who succumbed to injuries he sustained on the Farm Pen Road in Westmoreland in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning.
Reports indicate that about 3:30 am, Cooke, 37, of Hertford District, Westmoreland, was driving a Nissan Wingroad in the direction of Savanna-la-Mar when, upon reaching a section of the roadway, the driver of a Toyota Noah motor car that was travelling in the opposite direction failed to keep left and collided with Cooke.
The police were alerted, and Cooke was removed from the vehicle with the assistance of the fire department. He was assisted to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
