TTUTA visits schools before re-opening

Of­fi­cials from the Trinidad and To­ba­go Uni­fied Teach­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion (TTUTA) vis­it­ed schools on Thurs­day to see first­hand the con­di­tions of fa­cil­i­ties ahead of the be­gin­ning of the new school term next week.

How­ev­er TTUTA pres­i­dent Crys­tal Ashe con­tin­ued to ex­press their dis­ap­point­ment re­gard­ing sev­er­al as­pects of the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion’s prepa­ra­tions for the re-open­ing of schools, as he called for bet­ter or­gan­i­sa­tion and co-or­di­na­tion on the part of the gov­ern­ment.

In a me­dia re­lease on Thurs­day, Ashe con­firmed that teach­ers would be re­quired to re­port for du­ty on Thurs­day and Fri­day to pre­pare for school re-open­ing for the 2026-2027 aca­d­e­m­ic year.
