The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is warning the public of increased demand at its Accident & Emergency Department (AED).
The hospital said there has been a notable increase in trauma cases from motor vehicle accidents and altercations.
These cases require immediate medical attention, meaning patients with non-life-threatening conditions may face longer waiting times as critical cases are prioritised.
