Police search opposition leader's Friendship property as âPaper Shortsâ murder probe continues

(Kaieteur News) â The Guyana Police Force in a brief statement on Monday said ranks executed a search at a property located at Friendship on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD) as part of the March 2021 murder of Ricardo Fugundes better known as âPaper Shorts.â
The property reportedly belongs to Opposition Leader Azruddin Mohamed, his sister, Hana Mohamed confirmed in a Facebook live she made as the ranks searched the property.
âActing on the legal advice, Police today, Monday 20th July, 2026, executed a search warrant at a property at Friendship, East Bank Demeraraâ police said before adding, âthe warrant was granted by a magistrate after consideration of the information presentedâ.
