PNM Prime Minister-designate Stuart Young is vowing to enforce tougher penalties for domestic violence, pledging immediate action to strengthen protections for women once he takes office.
Speaking at the Office of the Prime Minister’s International Women’s Day Breakfast event on Friday, Young said the issue must be dealt with frontally, not just on a legislative basis, but also as a society.
