JUSAMCO Pavers Ltd has been ordered by the High Court to pay almost $1 million to Massy Machinery Ltd after a judge found the company had no realistic prospect of successfully defending a claim over unpaid equipment and maintenance services.
In a ruling delivered last week, Justice Margaret Mohammed struck out the company’s defence and entered judgment in favour of Massy Machinery in the sum of $946,962.69, together with interest and costs.
The dispute arose out of claims by Massy Machinery that Jusamco had failed to settle invoices for equipment and maintenance services supplied between 2017 and 2021.
