AN outpouring of grief, praise and calls for national recognition have followed the passing of pioneering filmmaker and television producer Danielle Dieffenthaller.
Dieffenthaller, who passed away last Saturday after a seven-year battle with renal failure, was hailed a visionary for her work in film, television, entertainment and documentaries locally and abroad.
While many tributes came from those in the arts who had worked with Dieffenthaller, the late writer/producer was also remembered by activists in various fields for her passion in areas including human rights, the environment and the development of film locally and regionally.
