An attempted prison escape was swiftly foiled on Wednesday morning when inmate Travis Curtis scaled the western perimeter wall of the Port of Spain Prison.
The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service confirmed that Curtis escaped lawful custody at approximately 10 a.m. along the Pembroke Street side of the facility.
However, quick and decisive action by officers attached to the Port of Spain Prison, in collaboration with the Emergency Response Unit, led to Curtis’ recapture just 18 minutes later in the vicinity of Abercromby Street, Port of Spain.
