A 26-year-old labourer has been granted bail after denying cannabis trafficking and importation charges in a Bridgetown court.
Donstone McDonald Powlett, of 6th Avenue, New Orleans, pleaded not guilty to trafficking cannabis and importing the drug on August 5 when the charges were read by acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick.
The alleged drugs weighed 2.5 kilogrammes and were estimated to have a street value of $20 000.
