Gayle hails expanded Tottori support ahead of Beijing 2027

KINGSTON, Jamaica — President of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) Garth Gayle believes Jamaica’s renewed partnership with Tottori Prefecture will give the country’s athletes a valuable head start in their preparations for the 2027 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China.
Gayle was speaking at a press conference at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Monday, where the JAAA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tottori Prefecture for Jamaica’s pre-championship training camp ahead of the global event.
According to Gayle, getting the arrangements in place early will allow the association, coaches and athletes to plan more effectively for the championships.
