Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has announced that the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) recorded a profit after tax of $3.285 billion for the year ended December 31st, 2025.
Speaking in the House of Representatives today, Persad-Bissessar said the figure represents the highest profit recorded by the NGC Group in eleven years and is double the profit achieved in the previous year.
She described the NGC as the country’s “crown jewel” and said its performance remains central to government revenues, foreign exchange earnings, downstream industry development and job creation. She added that the results reflect both improved market conditions and a new approach to governance under her administration.
