A HIGH COURT master has discharged a series of gang-related criminal matters, including the murder case involving slain Arouca resident Garvey Campo, after ruling that prosecutors repeatedly failed to comply with court directions.
Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami discharged all accused yesterday after refusing a fifth application by the State for an extension of time to file an indictment in the matters.
The cases included the 2019 murder of Campo as well as several gang and firearm- related charges against multiple accused.
