Troy Sonilal left his Marabella home to purchase a loaf of bread. However, he never made it back home, as his trip ended in a crash that claimed his life.

Sonilal died after his black Nissan Bluebird Sylphy collided with pipelines owned by Paria Trading Company Ltd.

Investigators said Sonilal, 42, was driving the car south along the Southern Main Road around 10.45 p.m. on Tuesday, when he attempted to overtake a line of vehicles. He lost control of the car, which veered off the roadway and crashed into a metal gate and a rack of pipelines in Marabella.
