Class­es con­tin­ued as nor­mal yes­ter­day at Rio Claro East Sec­ondary School, amid as­sur­ances from Min­is­ter of Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Roger Alexan­der that en­hanced se­cu­ri­ty mea­sures were in place, fol­low­ing re­cent on­line threats against the in­sti­tu­tion and its of­fi­cials.

When Guardian Me­dia vis­it­ed the school, one of­fi­cial said the turnout was high­er than usu­al.

The of­fi­cial at­trib­uted the in­crease to an emer­gency meet­ing held with par­ents on Sun­day af­ter­noon, where they dis­cussed new safe­ty mea­sures to be im­ple­ment­ed go­ing for­ward.
