The presÂiÂdent of the ParÂent-Teacher AsÂsoÂciÂaÂtion (PTA) at Boissiere RC PriÂmaÂry School says she is fed up with the reÂpeatÂed exÂcusÂes from auÂthorÂiÂties over perÂsisÂtent floodÂing that is disÂruptÂing classÂes.
“My grandÂdaughÂter startÂed here in first year; she’s now in StanÂdard Five, and this has been onÂgoÂing. It’s gotÂten worse over the last two or three years. YesÂterÂday, I was in the flood to colÂlect my grandÂchilÂdren, and you could hardÂly walk in the school—you couldn’t even get in to pick up the chilÂdren,” CamilÂla Bharat said on TuesÂday.
AfÂter roughÂly sevÂen years of reÂquestÂing a soÂluÂtion, the earÂly disÂmissal of classÂes on the secÂond day of the new school year pushed Bharat to call for imÂmeÂdiÂate acÂtion. She said the PTA has exÂhaustÂed all avÂenues for adÂdressÂing the probÂlem.
