Tenants extra vigilant after spa double murder

Days before the murders of SOHO Beauty Haven Spa owner Kavita Deosaran and her customer Cheryl Dixon, an armed robbery occurred at a courier business in the same building.

The Express was told armed bandits entered the courier business before 7 p.m. last week Friday. The business has been operating at the Veneris Plaza Southern Main Road and Charlotte Street location in Couva for years. An employee said they always practised safety measures but believed the robbers saw an opportunity and acted last week. According to the employee, it was the first time they faced such an incident and have been extra vigilant.
