Ten persons were arrested by police following police operations in the south western and northern divisions yesterday.
According to police, officers from the Fyzabad and Oropouche Police Stations, Criminal Investigations Department (CID), South Western Division Task Force, and Canine Unit visited an address in Dow Village South Oropouche where they searched and arrested persons under sections eight and 12 of the Emergency Powers Regulations, 2025.
A 25-year-old Trinidadian national of Grants Road, Rousillac, and six illegal male migrants between the ages of 24 and 30, from Tucupita, Venezuela, were arrested, police said.
