Former People’s National Movement (PNM) senator Randall Mitchell is questioning the source of funding behind the UNC’s 2025 election campaign, claiming the party has not disclosed how it financed its political activities.
Mitchell threw out the question in a Facebook post yesterday, in which he also accused the UNC of refusing to support previous efforts to introduce campaign finance legislation governing political parties.
“The PNM brought a bill to make law to treat with Campaign Financing with respect to political parties. The UNC wanted absolutely nothing to do with it or the Joint Select Committee set up to consider it. Absolutely nothing,” Mitchell wrote.
