Bushfires surge as drought takes hold

There have been over 30 reports of bushfires to the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service over the last month.

This according to acting chief fire officer Andy Hutchinson, who yesterday described the increase as unusual for this period.

Speaking to the Express in a telephone interview, Hutchinson said the majority of these reports were within the Northern Division.
