Chaguanas East election candidate Vandana Mohit yesterday lamented that for years her requests for roadworks to be done in her constituency were denied or ignored, but now roadworks were taking place on the eve of the election.
“Despite repeatedly requesting remedial roadworks via road paving for the parliamentary period 2020-2025 and subsequently being denied, citing the lack of funding and that roadworks were being undertaken on a priority basis, yet lo and behold, on the very eve of general election 2025, the very previously requested streets and roadways are now being subjected to a frenzy of road-paving works within the Chaguanas East constituency,” she told the Express when contacted.
