The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) says it has gained full control of the ruptured transmission main near Beetham Gardens and has begun dewatering operations ahead of repairs scheduled for completion by noon tomorrow.
In an update today, WASA said emergency response teams were deployed immediately after the rupture was reported.
The authority said crews activated full emergency protocols and successfully accessed and operated valves to dewater the affected 30-inch booster line, which it described as a critical step toward carrying out safe and effective repairs.
