Mother mourns second son killed

THE mother of 17-year-old Tristan Stephen was struggling to come to terms with the loss of her second son to murder, saying her child had been afraid of the dark and would not have gone to the place where he was found alone.

Stephen, of Blake Avenue, Damarie Hill, Guaico, Sangre Grande, was reported missing on Friday after he failed to return home. The police were notified, and officials from the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Vallance Rambarath also responded. Searches were conducted over the weekend for the missing teenager.

Those searches came to an end around midday on Sunday, at the Turure cattle farm.
