In the delay it is taking for the Tobago Marine Park Bill to be enacted, some jet ski operators are still operating their crafts near shores with bathers.

The THA passed the updated Tobago Marine Parks Bill 2026 in April. As of mid-2026, the legislation is currently with the Chief Parliamentary Council (CPC) for drafting before being tabled in the national Parliament for final enactment.
