SUPPORT for the People’s National Movement (PNM) in Tobago showed decline since 2021, and Opposition Leader and political leader of the PNM Pennelope Beckles is now faced with healing the party, former minister Robert Le Hunte said yesterday.
In a statement shared with the Express, Le Hunte said Monday’s results at the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election were “definitely not what the party would have hoped for”.
Results up to yesterday showed that the PNM suffered a comprehensive defeat in Tobago, with the Tobago People’s Party (TPP) winning all 15 seats and pushing the PNM out of the THA.
