Police have arrested five suspects and seized a quantity of cannabis trees and seedlings during anti-crime exercises in the South Western Division on Sunday.
According to a police report on Monday, during the operation officers seized 107 seedlings and 17 mature cannabis trees at a residence on Beach Road, Palo Seco. This led to the arrest of three suspects, ages between 24 and 43 years. Additionally, two men, ages 30 and 50, were also arrested as persons of interest.
The operation was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Thompson, Superintendent Cumberbatch, Assistant Superintendents Forbes, Corrie, and Ramdass, along with Inspectors Prescott and Morales. It was supervised by Inspector John, Sergeants Rajkumar, Paul, Banmally, and Khadaroo, with participation from officers of the Penal Police, South Western Division Task Force (SWDTF), and K-9 Unit. Officers from the Santa Flora and Erin Police Stations also took part in the exercise.
