(Kaieteur News) – Christopher Ram’s latest letter (Kiskadee Watch, July 9th 2026) culminates with what is intended to be its most dramatic flourish: a demand that President Irfaan Ali establish a Commission of Inquiry (COI) to investigate every aspect of his agricultural enterprise. It is an appealing soundbite.
It is also the weakest part of his entire argument. The call betrays either a misunderstanding of the purpose of a Commission of Inquiry or a willingness to stretch the mechanism beyond recognition.
