A woman is in hospital receiving treatment after being stabbed multiple times during a dispute in Bridgetown on Monday, while police have taken a suspect into custody.
The incident which occurred around 5:45 p.m. at the junction of Nelson Street and Fairchild Street, St Michael, is being investigated by officers at Central Police Station.
According to preliminary reports, a dispute between a man and a woman escalated, resulting in the female sustaining multiple stab wounds. Emergency ambulance personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), where she is receiving medical attention.
