Housing Minister Adrian Leonce maintains he did nothing wrong, as there was nothing to declare to the Integrity Commission on his past directorship in a United Kingom-registered company in which an individual with alleged gang connections was involved.
He was speaking to members of the media yesterday at the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between East Port of Spain Development Company (EPoS) and Nu Wave Automotive Ltd in El Socorro.
On Tuesday, Leonce categorically denied any corrupt practices or ‘gang’ affiliation in seeking to set up a business in the UK. He said he was seeking legal advice following claims by an Opposition member that he had business dealings with criminal elements now located in the United Kingdom. He issued a statement referring to a social media post by an ‘Opposition politician’ and advised that he has contacted his attorneys.
