(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) on Monday said an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of a fire which destroyed a house at Lot 13, Area G, Ogle, East Coast Demerara which has displaced three persons.
According to a brief statement on the Fire Service’s Facebook page, upon arrival at the scene, firefighters encountered a building fully engulfed in flames, with the fire threatening a nearby structure.
“Through swift and coordinated firefighting efforts, the blaze was brought under control and prevented from spreading further. Unfortunately, the building and its contents were completely destroyed, while two nearby buildings sustained minor damage due to heat radiation,” GFS reported.
