The Barbados Police Service has strengthened its senior command with the appointment of two deputy commissioners and three assistant commissioners.
The appointments took effect on Friday, just after Sonia Boyce was sworn in as the first woman to serve as Commissioner of Police.
Boyce presented letters of appointment at Police Headquarters following the confirmation of Barry Hunte and Adrian Broomes as deputy commissioners of police, and Stephen Herbert, David Welch and John Boyce as assistant commissioners.
