AN argument during a cricket match, which escalated into a brawl between prison inmates on Saturday, was what led to the murder of 39-year-old Brent Baptiste at the Maximum Security Prison (MSP) in Arouca.
Baptiste, of Plaisance Road, John John, was knifed to death just after 11 a.m., during airing time in the prison’s courtyard.
Three hours after being stabbed, Baptiste was pronounced dead at the prison infirmary. He was serving a five-year prison term on a charge of wounding with intent stemming from an incident that took place at Bournes Road, St James, in 2006.
