The entire executive of the People’s National Movement’s (PNM) San Fernando East constituency has resigned, clearing the way for the reconstitution of the party’s organisation in the constituency amid ongoing internal tensions.
The resignation takes effect at 4 p.m. today, according to a statement issued on Monday by constituency chairman Patricia Alexis on behalf of the executive.
The decision follows a meeting on Sunday between PNM leadership and more than 20 members of the San Fernando East Constituency Executive.
