A Chaguanas attorney was arrested on October 4 for possession of an unlicensed gun and ammunition.
Police said officers of the Chaguanas Crime Patrol and Central Division Task Force area North went to the Woodford Gardens home of a 31-year-old attorney based on intelligence received during an anti-crime operation.
Equipped with body-worn cameras, a comprehensive search of the home was done in the attorney's presence, during which a plastic bag with 11 rounds of 9 mm ammunition was allegedly found. The officers then went to the attorney's nearby office, where a black Sig Sauer P290 pistol with a magazine containing 13 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition was allegedly found in a hidden compartment of his desk.
