Former MP for Tobago East, Ayanna Webster-Roy, says Tobago was shaken by the disappearance of two-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza.
And that persons close to the child were detained, Webster-Roy said, was deeply troubling.
In a post to social media on Tuesday, Webster-Roy said, “The reports that persons close to this child are in police custody for questioning have shaken Tobago deeply and forced us to confront an uncomfortable truth: the danger facing our children is not always outside the gate. Oftentimes, it hides in familiar places, behind closed doors, behind trusted faces, behind family silence, fear, shame, and secrets. Baby Angelo is the only true victim in this tragedy. No one else!”
