A 15-year-old girl in Guatemala shocked mourners when she reportedly woke up inside her coffin during her own funeral, hours after her family believed she had died.
According to the New York Post, Yuleidy Ixcotoyac collapsed while being driven to a medical centre by her father, Abraham Ixcotoyac, an evangelical pastor. He reportedly believed she had died after finding no signs of breathing or a pulse, but no doctor confirmed her death and no death certificate was issued.
A funeral was arranged about eight hours after she collapsed. During the wake, her mother, Lesvia RÃos, noticed movement inside the coffin and alerted relatives.
