Catholic priest dies after wooden cross falls on him during mass

A Catholic priest died on Saturday in Ecuador after a large wooden cross reportedly fell on him as he led a mass that was being live-streamed.

According to a report by NDTV World, Father Patricio Alfredo Sanchez Molinari was addressing a congregation at the Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro Church in Guayaquil when the crucifix came down on him.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
