A 47-year-old man is expected to appear in court today to answer more than 50 charges of unauthorised use of an ABM card, police said.
Sources confirmed the man, described as a close family friend of the magistrate, lived at the magistrate’s Arima home, where he was paid to do maintenance work.
Police said he allegedly stole one of the magistrate’s bank cards and used it several times between October 2024 and April 2025 to withdraw more than $115,000.
