A San Fernando woman has filed a civil medical negligence claim against the South-West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA), claiming that after a procedure at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH), she was left infertile.

Attorneys Edwin Roopnarine and Shawn Roopnarine filed the lawsuit late last year for the 37-year-old homemaker regarding events that occurred six years ago at the SFGH.

The claimant stated she previously underwent surgery in 2012, which resulted in the removal of one of her fallopian tubes.
