A Penal couple was shot dead in their home early yesterday morning after an intruder stormed their bedroom and demanded money.

The victims have been identified as 52-year-old Shaffeak Vialva and his wife Babita Vialva, 42, of Penal Rock Road.

Around 3 a.m., a relative was asleep when she was awakened by gunshots. When the relative stepped out of her room, she found Shaffeak bleeding on the floor outside his bedroom. She then looked into the bedroom room and saw an armed man standing at the doorway, police said.
